Activity 1: First questions
There are lots of interesting things to learn about Scotland!
Let’s start with a quiz!
You’ll need to do some research to answer the questions - ask a grown up, or look on the Internet to find the answers!
Activity 2: Map of Scotland
Now it’s time to learn a little Scottish geography!
First you’ll need to find the blank map of Scotland in your printed worksheets. It should be page 4.
We’re going to use this map and some coloured pencils to mark important landmarks on the map.
You may need to use Google Maps to find out where things are.
With a BLACK pencil, find these cities and mark them on a map:
Inverness
Edinburgh
Glasgow
Aberdeen
With a BLUE pencil, mark these rivers and lochs on the map:
River Spey
Loch Ness
The highest mountain in Scotland (and the UK) is called Ben Nevis. With a PURPLE pencil, mark it on the map.
Scotland has lots of islands. There are two groups of islands to the NORTH of Scotland. Mark them on the map with a GREEN pencil.
Orkney Islands
Shetland Islands
What is the most northern point in mainland Scotland?
