Activity 1: First questions
There are lots of interesting things to learn about India!
Let’s start with a quiz!
You’ll need to do some research to answer the questions - ask a grown up, or look on the Internet to find the answers!
Activity 2: Map of India
Now it’s time to learn a little Indian geography!
First you’ll need to find the blank map of India in your printed worksheets. It should be page 4.
We’re going to use this map and some coloured pencils to mark important landmarks on the map.
You may need to use Google Maps to find out where things are.
With a BLACK pencil, find these cities and mark them on a map:
New Delhi
Mumbai
Kolkata
Chennai
With a BLUE pencil, mark these rivers on the map:
The Ganges
The Godavari
The highest mountain in India is called Kanchenjunga. With a PURPLE pencil, mark it on the map.
India has some beautiful buildings and monuments. Can you put these ones on the map?
Taj Mahal
Red Fort
Mysore Palace
With a RED pencil, write on the map the names of the countries next to India. There are 6 plus 1 island.
Use your BLUE pencil again to write the names of the two seas next to India.
Which city on your map is on the west coast of India, next to the Arabian Sea? ⭐
