5 smaller Twitter accounts you should follow if you’re interested in travelling differently
We already created a collection of Twitter accounts you should follow if you’re interested in different, dare we say, deliberate travel. But this post is for the small guys, because they deserve love too.
All these Twitter accounts have fewer than 2,500 followers.
@FfestiniogTrvl
If you’re a train geek, or just looking for a flightless alternative to travel, this Twitter feed is perfect. They post about eco-friendly travel and don’t just limit their train trips to Europe, like some others do.
@Venture_Impact
This one is slightly cheating, as Venture with Impact has an Instagram following of 24.3k. But, they have a great mission with plenty to find on their Twitter feed. They specialize in volunteering holidays all around the world, and they’re full of stories of what that’s like.
@BlogBrb
The BRB Travel Blog is much more varied than the others. With one tweet it jumps from Pondicherry to South Korea, to Waiheke Island, NZ. This is the Twitter feed to follow if you’re looking for different destinations.
@jauntingtrips
This account has beautiful photographs and helpful tips about different destinations. Most recent ones are India and Lisbon but there’s also some love for the Twitterer’s native Romania as well.
@SlowTravelStays
Slow Travel Guide focuses on trips to Turkey for slow travellers. They produce great photos and fun stories digging deeper into the Anatolia region. And they also do a great job retweeting loads of slow travel related content. If you’re looking for anything slow travel related, chances are they know about it!
